How to use this teaching resource

• How to use our songs and rhymes
• Brainstorm other verses – children make up their own verses – using the repetition – each child writes their version onto a page and illustrates it – use the chart as guidance – pop all the pages together to make a class book for home reading or reading centre.
• Great to discuss feelings and appropriate ways to express them – discuss feelings and how we react to them – positive and negative.
• Focus on the word ‘you’re’  – a great rhyme to bring this up and how it so easily is mistaken for ‘your’  these days…. (one of my pet spelling peeves LOL)
• And of course, lots of opportunities for playing with words (also see how to use above)
