Sight Word Splash

A fun sight word game for children to play in the classroom.

Download

  • Ideal for children to play in the classroom when learning their sight words.

How to use this resource

  • Print and laminate a Sight Word Splash game board.
  • Group the children into pairs and provide each pair with a recording worksheet, dice and counters.
  • Children take turns rolling the dice and placing their counter on the corresponding sight word. Children say the sight word out loud then record it on the worksheet. If the children can not say the word, their partner can ‘steal’ the word or they miss a turn.
  • The child with the most amount of sight words at the end wins the game!

  • Lovely resource. More please. Working with 7 year old learners who are struggling to read, write and spell these words. Please expand into next 24. Thank you.

  • Love it if it was editable so I could put my own words in. Would this be possible? Thanks
