Select the large or small printable letter tiles and the font you would like to use.
Print the letter tiles on thicker cardboard for added durability.
Cut the letter tiles and store them in a reusable zip lock bag.
If using these tiles with other sets of letter tiles, you could stick a piece of coloured paper to the tiles before cutting them out. This will help to keep the correct set together after the different sets of tiles have been mixed together.
You may also like to stick a small magnet to the back of the tiles so they can be used on the whiteboard.
How to use this teaching resource:
Students can place the letter tiles down and then use picture cards to match the sounds.
Use them as flashcards for the students to identify and say aloud.
Students can make words using the letter tiles from different sets.
Provide a copy of a particular consonant grapheme letter tile to students who may need extra assistance with that sound.
