  • Ideal to use in numeracy group rotations or as an independent warm up activity.
  • Children match the tens frames with the numbers, 0 to 10, on the board.
  • Choose from three different number board designs, or use all three to create a class set.

How to use this teaching resource

  • Print and laminate a class set of number boards.
  • Print, cut and laminate a class set of each tens frame cards.
  • Provide each child with a number board and set of 0 to 10 tens frame cards.
  • Children match the numbers on the board to the numbers on each tens frame by placing the tens frame cards on the board with the corresponding number.
  • What would come next? – Use the tens frame cards as flash cards for whole class number warm ups.
