How to use this teaching resource

• Have a SPOTTY BACK TO SCHOOL THEME DAY …. as children arrive, they find their spotty name tags and continue on with spotty activities as their parents leave (always tricky!!!)
• ‘CAN YOU SPOT YOUR NAME?’: Pop this text on one of your spotty welcome signs (above) as children find their name tag.
• Continue this spotty name theme by having a print out of each child’s name on card (use just the font outline if you can) – children use either spotty pens (I think crayola have a range of these), or bingo pens, or coloured spotty stickers, to spot over the letters in their names.
• Use these as a room display to start the year.
• Have loads of coloured cut out spots all different sizes and colours for children to glue into interesting designs and pictures.
• Make a favourite colour graph using spot stickers.
• Have a pile of books available for children to find ‘spots / circles’ within the illustrations and pictures.
• Another sign using template above…’Our Spot On Classroom Rules’
• Start a class ‘Spot On’ hand signal (similar to high five / thumbs up) – make an ‘o’ with your index finger and thumb.
• Continue the theme using the spotty stars to highlight a ‘Our Spot On Superstar’ each day / week etc.
