Ideal to use during literacy group rotations or as part of a homework activity.
How to use this resource:
Print a black and white version of the worksheet and provide each child with the worksheet to use as part of a classroom task or as a homework activity.
Alternatively, laminate a class set of the colour version of the worksheet to use with removable markers during literacy rotations or as a whole class word of the day warm up activity.
Ask the children to choose a sight word from the weekly list or classroom word wall. Children record the sight word on the worksheet and complete the task by including a sentence and picture of the sight word and two known words that start with the same letter.
What’s Next? – Choose one child’s worksheet each week to compile and create a classroom sight word book.
I love this worksheet. Simple instructions for students to follow.
