How to prepare this teaching resource:

  • Print the clip cards and cut them out.
  • Print them on thicker cardboard for added durability.

How to use this teaching resource:

  • Students are required to use a peg or a clip to identify the correct number being shown by the MAB blocks.
  • Alternatively, a counter could be used or you could laminate the cards and use a whiteboard marker to circle the correct number.

Differentiation Ideas:

  • Provide students with a set of MAB or base ten blocks so they can physically recreate the number being shown on the card.
  • Students requiring extension could create their own cards.
