- Ideal to use during phonics lessons and literacy rotations.
- Five middle sound CVC worksheets focusing on each vowel, a, e, i, o and u.
- A colour and black and white version for each of the worksheets has been provided in the download.
How to use this teaching resource
- During whole class phonics lessons, provide each child with a black and white worksheet to stretch out their sounds and fill in the missing vowel.
- Alternatively, print and laminate a set of color worksheets for students to fill in the middle sound with removable markers during literacy rotations.
- What comes next? – Cut out each individual card and laminate to create a class set. Use each card as a flash card during literacy warm up activites. Display each card to the class and encourage them to call out the missing sound.
