How to use this teaching resource

  • Ideal to use with the ‘I Can Move’ action words.
  • Copy onto A3 size and give each child a ‘I can’ sheet. Each child writes and illustrates the sheet. Make into a class big book to share in the class library..
  • Make up one of these little books at the beginning of the year, then again at the end of the year and discuss what has changed, what new things you have learned etc.
  • Don’t forget these concept books are ideal to use for weekly ‘homework’ task – bring back and share with the class.

  • I love the “I am very clever” concept book. I am wondering if you could leave more space for the children to write after the “I can . . . ” so that they can fit more than a couple of words on each page. Thanks!
