How to use this teaching resource

  • Allow the children to ‘Label the Room’ .
  • Children take a smaller black and white copy home to cut out and blu-tac onto items around their house which are the same (great first day homework)

  • Classroom labels….. could be placed into a portfolio book at the writing table as children begin to label their own pictures or stories using regular words of interest eg monsters, princess, frozen etc.

  • We discovered that some of the words listed as being in Spanish are actually Portuguese. It makes a difference.
