How to use this teaching resource

  • *  Print out a set of the multiple sheets for each child to cut up and keep in a plastic container or ‘purse’ .   Use this money throughout the year for shopping / money games.
  • *  Perhaps have an auction every now and then throughout the year – where children can purchase class home made books or special art projects that they have completed – use their money.
  • *  I’m not a big fan of using money as reward / behaviour management, but you could include an option for ‘jobs’ to be done and paid for throughout a term or certain time period – this then adds to their collection.
  • *  Maybe you could then incorporate a certain portion of their money needs to be saved each week to go to a charity etc.
  • *  Money is always great for skip counting activities.

  • These resources are excellent and very useful. One thing I’d like added is how many cents is in one dollar on the one dollar sign. Lower ability children need this reminder when learning value of cents and dollars.

  • Hi there am unable to print any resources. It keeps saying ‘failed’ when I try to print. I am unsure as to what the problem is as I have been a member for quite a while now and have loved using these resources with no problems. It is very frustrating.Thanks for any help you can offer.
