How to use this resource

Print and laminate a poster to display in the classroom.
Children refer to the poster when learning the months of the year song and when completing months of the year activities, such as grouping the months of the year into months with ’30 Days’, ’31 Days, ’28/29 Days’.
Use the poster to discuss with the children what a leap year means and what happens to the days in February during a leap year.
What comes next? – Use the poster when ‘playing with words’ by circling, colouring in, listing to rhyming words, little words within words, and phonic sounds. Alternatively, place children into groups, ask them to sing the rhyme in a rap style and make up a dance to go with it.
