How to use this teaching resource

  • Use the quote for handwriting that day / week.
Make up a CLASS QUOTE BOOK – which is added to each week – children refer to this during silent reading etc….
  • Have quote book in which children write the quote of the week and draw a picture about what it means for them. (add other quotes throughout the week also)
  • Use the quote to ‘Play with Words’ – circle sounds, count the number of words, how many rhyming words, how many vowels, how many nouns, can we replace any words with other words and it still mean the same thing, circle the long vowels, circle the consonants – heaps and heaps of different ways to be used.
  • Cut the plain quote page up into words and put the quote back together again.

  • I love these quotes pages. I intend to display a new one each week. What are the chances of some great Dr Seuss quotes being added?
