Suggestions for Use

  • Don't forget all of our resources can be enlarged, or reduced in size using size options on your printer.   Smaller sizes are ideal for individual children's activities.  Poster sizes are ideal for whole class projects.
  • Best copied onto card and laminated for long term use.
  • Reduce in size to make individual children's alphabet poem / rhyme booklets.
  • Make copies on paper to make up a class book to pop in the library corner.
  • Use as a reference to begin brainstorming lists of words with same initial sounds.  Enlarge the blank alphabet pages from our alphabet chart downloads to poster size and pop all the words brainstormed onto this poster.
  • Use these words for children to make up their own Alphabet Books.
  • Relate to Dr Seuss' 'ABC Book' - this book has a very similar ABC rhyme.
  • Children make up their own initial sounds rhymes using this rhyme chart as a base - as a class or individually.

Please add your suggestions for using Alphabet Rhyme Charts in the comments below... thanks !

  1. Is it possible to arrange for a black and white version? The coloured version is fantastic but chews up too much of my colour printing.
    Thanks

  2. Hi! It’s a little confusing for students to know where to place the letters without dotted thirds. That would be amazing if they had them! Jess.

  3. Just trying to work out if where the letters are placed on the lines for Victorian script. To me it looks like the letters are on the 1st line (what I’d call the dotted line) Love the pictures and words, but think the pages would confuse the kids as to where to place the letters, as I would think the letters need to sit on the pink line.
Keep up the great work- lots pf wonderful resources. 🙂

    • Hi Nicole
Yes, we do have that – it’s actually the WA version – apologies WA and VICT use the same font and I have just written the new version of the lines as WA – it is VICT also… hope that makes sense – am changing the name of the new version to reflect this now to avoid confusion.
      Thanks Nicole
